I'm in the process of rebuilding a 69.
It was a 6 cyl car, PG and 2.73 rear.
It now has a mid 80's 327, TH350 and 3.73 posi unit.

I am going to run new wiring harnesses, (engine, dash and rear) and was wondering if anyone could recommend the best way to go about doing this as well as good harnesses to purchase.

Yup. The block is a mid 80's and it's a 327.
Well, that's what the guy who installed it said. I can't read the numbers on the block.

GM quit making 327's in 1969 due to emmissions.

Hmmm... Now that is quite interesting! I obviously did not know that!

Here is another thing. I recently had to replace the alternator bracket and the one that fit was for a 80something Small Block w/ short water pump.

The 69 bracket didn't fit!

i used the Painless wire kit...It was easy but i've had alot of electrical exp...If you have questions Painless will be happy to help you

Did you install a new fuse box as well or just the harnesses?

Get an M&H harness. Go here www.wiringharness.com they will do some custom work if you tell them what you want.

M&H will do the whole thing, fuse block & all. They will also modify the harness if you are planning internal regulated alternator, HEI or electric fuel pump/fans. They are really willing to work with you.
