I am pretty sure in his second post he said it was an L78 - 375 hp version. I don't think 3.07 would have been the standard in that case, but I could be wrong.Actually most 325HP and 350HP rears were 3.07 that I have seen. And most were NOT posi
For 1969, posi was only required on 3.73:1 and numerically higher gear ratios, so an open 3.07 is very common.New to the camaro world, would it be possible to have a 396 SS with an open rear end ? numbers match on the motor and trans, date codes on axle tube are good for the build date. Ratio is 3.07
Yeah, those "low HP" 396/325 and 396/350 cars had a standard ratio of 3.07 open.Like I said, a lot of low horsepower cars came with 3.07
My 1969 Power Team chart does not show the 396/375 engine so I don't know what was standard, but 3.07 open does not sound right.Hi all, new to the camaro world mostly a mustang guy , but dont hold that against me. Just traded for a 69 SS396 375HP and all looks good except for the rearend.
