I am trying to change out the rear seatbelts in my 67 convertible. They are quite aged and the buckles are broken. How the heck to you get to the anchoring bolts? I don't see a way to get the seat back or bottom off to expose the bolts... anyone have experience with this?

You have to take the bottom seat out. There are two clips the the seat metal frame hook to. You have to push the rear seat back about an inch then up, repeat on other side. Sometimes it's very tough. I have to use a scissor jack and 2x4s to remove mine.

If you put you head on the rear floor and look under the rear seat, you can see the hooks (they are located approx in-bewteen your feet when sitting in the seat).

Seeing them will helps your understanding of the hook, but it won't make it any easier to unhook.

The seat belts are then bolted to the floor. Take note on how they are attached (which way belt is pointed (up) and which one is on top of other one on which bolt) That will save you more questions later on. :D

Luck, Kevin
