What height tire do most people run on a 68 camaro, 26" or 28" in the back?

My 68 came equipped with a 275/60/R15 BFG T/A and its a little tall for my recently installed Ridetech 4-link. The tire rubs the fender near the back half of the fender when pulling into a my driveway and I'm assuming a 26" tire will help. I have not rolled the fenders and dont think that will do the trick for me. Mostly looking for something to get me by until I purchase 18s.

I run 275/60/R15's and personally wouldn't go shorter but that's just me. I like filling up the wheel well. I think mine are about 28.5" tall.

If I recall stock was about 26.4". That is what works with stock speedo gears.

I like to fill it too but with the new suspension the tires are moving around a little more and I do not want to damage the fender.

Sounds more like the axle not centered in the wheel well or the wrong backspacing ?

I'm at 25.6" with a 275/35R18, my cars lowered 3" so it fills well.

Wheel backspacing and ride height also play significant roles here....

In wanting a little wider tire, and since BF Goodrich doesn't make a "/65" rating.... I've opted for 225/60R14's on 6" rally wheels up front(24.6" tall tire), and 235/60R14's on 7" rally wheels on back(25.1" tall tire). A little shorter tire than the original, but has a nice look. Excellent fit, great ride, and are a wider tire.

I have ZERO rubbing at all, at any angle, at any turning radii.

I'm away form my car for a few days and the only photos I have do not show the wheels location inside the wheel well. The ride height is just a hair lower than Doug G's photo above. I tried to raise it up a little but it still rubbed when going up the driveway at an angle. Where my tire is rubbing is at 3 o'clock on the tire and directly above on the fender lip. If I had a shorter tire it would not reach this position on the fender I'd imagine.

Centering of the wheel is not off, I have tired to adjust it with the double adjustable lowers. I was given the wrong Muscle Bar (sway bar) from Ridtech and once I get the correct one installed it might also help with the wheel traveling so high that it hits the fender lip. With the 4-link articulation this thing can move deep into the tubs. Rear is also centered perfectly left to right. The two pictures above are both with the leaf springs installed, anyone with a 4 link prefer the 28" tires?

As far as backspacing goes that someone had mentioned, I did not account for the backspacing on these wheels/tires when I got the new rear and 4 link, it just happened to fit almost perfectly. Prior to this the wheels used a spacer and stuck out about an inch past the fenders so I lucked out and did not have to buy new wheels just yet. I'm only concerned only about the height of the tires at this time.
