I have a 68 with a stock non posi 10 bolt rearend and want to upgrade to a 12 bolt posi unit. I've heard from several people that a rearend from 68-74 Novas will bolt right in. My question is will I have to relocate the spring perches or shock mounts. If so how much will it cost?

A rear from a 68-74 will bolt right in. No need to relocate shocks, but you may have an issue with the spring perches. They do not have to be relocated, but there are two different depths.

I assume you have monoleaf springs. Most 12-bolts have the deeper perches for multileaf springs. You will have to do one of four things:

1. use your monoleafs, and fill the gap in the perches with lowering blocks

2. cut and weld monoleaf spring perches onto the 12-bolt

3. find a 12-bolt with monoleaf spring perches (may only have been available on 67 SS Camaros)

4. convert to multileaf springs

You will probably want to do item 4 and upgrade to the 12-bolt shock plates -- but you can continue to use your 10-bolt shock mount plates. They are just not as strong.
