Does anyone have any pics of reinforcing their shock plates? I am trying to get a visual of how this looks so I can complete the install of my new lowered springs and since it is a mono set up, I need a little reinforcement.
No reinforcement here , double nut u bolts with the thick isolators (rubber pads ) you can't get both brackets to contact each other ,per Hotchkis tech dept. tightened down the u bolts til the center align. Bolt (in spring) nut protrudes through bottom shock plate (bracket) and jam nut it and recheck after road test….this is per Hotchkis Tech dept.as told to me(jam nut was my idea for added safety)Happy Motoring
It is a nut about half as thick as a regular nut ,or just use 2 regular nuts,as they jam against each other, will not let primary nut back off...Happy Motoring
