Hy Guys,

I currently looking for some rods to go with the Pistons (Speed Pro H660CP30) i just received.

My problem was that i didn't see check earlier if my actual OEM rods were going to be compatible without major modification.....and it is the case : they are press fitted, and in bad shape...
I bought those piston because i have to re-bore the engine at 0.030.

So i'm looking at the moment at some forged connecting rods that would fit the new pistons and the engine specs.

I found the EAGLE 5700SBLW:

My Actual journal is as follow :

When reading posts and website regarding the correct journal, it said that the 1967 327Ci : 2" (2.125" with bearings?)

Could you confirm to me that am going to get the correct ones?

have anice day

Providing the journals only need polishing and no grinding undersize, you would be getting a standard size bearing shells.

Housing Bore 2.1247-2.1252
Number of Bearings 8
Oil Clearance 0.0008-0.0031
Shaft Diameter 1.9990-2.0000
Shell Part Number C624
Wall Thickness 0.0615-0.0620
Width 0.842

Those Eagle rods will work with your crank and they have floating pins , meaning the pin is heald in the piston by snap rings or spiral locks. You need to check your piston pin retention with the piston you are buying.

Hi Jerry, The eagle rods he said he ordered have floating pins. Are you saying the piston pin is pressed on here with this piston?
Normally I have seen pins loose in the piston but as in stock , pins pressed thru he rod,
after the rods have been heated.
Hi Don.....Well I finally found a Speed-Pro catalog and here is a photo of the pistons in the catalog. It seems that they are set-up for both according to the photo.

Yup, discovered long ago that the product descriptions supplied in the catalogs and web sites of the parts stores are sometimes wrong or missing information. That is why I like to find the catalog information issued by the manufacturers. If I were the OP, I would call the manufacturer and verify the specs on the piston.

If there is a way to cancel your order I would do it. These Scat Rods are way better than the Eagle rods. The Scat rods are made from forged 4340 steel. They also come with ARP connecting rod bolts that have a Fastener Yield Strength (psi): 200,000 psi. These are for pressed fit pistons. Also for a rod journal size of 2.000" and a big end bore of 2.1250". Plus you usually get them in 3 days. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sca-2570020p/overview/make/chevrolet Sorry about the delivery time I just noticed that you live in France.

****........i have doubts now....

When i ordered the piston, it was for replacing the OEM ones because we had to re-bore the cylinder.
The OEMs were pressfited and it was not the same diameter and system (apparently) as the Speed Pro H660CP30.
So because i saw the technical description saying that they could accept both system, i ordered the EAGLE 5700SBLW (Floating) to go with them.

I put the order through eBay US, because it is the easiest way to get the connecting rods without beeing hammered by shipping costs..... The order have been shipped already.
Now i just have to wait to see if they can match, when the connecting rods will arrive.

The description in the ebay add :
