My Camaro runs fine at idle and when accelerating at high RPM's while in park. The second I put it in drive and accelerate, it cuts out and has a rough time going. It does not back-fire and I've checked the plug wires for a possible defect, they're just fine.

Any idea what could be causing this?

My 92' RS would idle and run fine at high rpm's also. However, it was a pain when I wanted to accelerate or get into it at all! It felt like the car was missing when I hit the accelarator. So...I changed the spark plugs first. That didn't help. Next, I checked the distributor cap and found that one of the caps somehow came off. I put it back on today and cruised the car around for about three hours tonight! I had no problems at all. My baby ran wonderfully tonight! :) So...I think it could be a wiring problem, spark plugs, or a harness problem from my stand point. Does the car seem to jerk at all when you accelerate?
