I am woundering if anyone or everyone can tell me what would be involved in converting from a 327-396. Things like springs radiator, things like that, that I will have to change. Also will a newer Z 6spd bolt up to an older 396. And what has to be changed to add the new tranny in.

Big block is about 3/8" off center to the pass side. That means changing alot of things. I wnet from 307 to 427, but I was not aware of most of the changes until after I got started!
Motor mount frame brackets
Springs
Fuel lines (you might be able to make the tank to pump line work, but I replaced my entire set with stainless.
Radiator and hoses
Fan Shroud and mounting bracket (you cna make the old one work, but B/B bracket is unique.
Cross member
Shifter mounting bracket with Hurst/Muncie
Shifter linkage
Heater Box and heater core (again, I have seen the SB box work.
Z-Bar and linkage
Bell housing, chutch assembly and flywheel. (again, you could use the 10-1/2" clutch with 12-3/4" flywheel instead of the 11" clutch and 14" flywheel)
Probably a few things I can't think of
