Well, the time has come to spray the firewall so here is where I am at...

Firewall is smoothed
Frame has been stripped and will be sprayed factory semi-gloss
Upper and Lower control arms stripped and semi-gloss with PST bushings and BJ's
All new or refinished steering gear
New Baer discs, master cylinder and stainless lines
New AGR power steering box

The question is, do I spray the inner fenders with body colored base/clear or go semi-gloss? Its a dark(er) color and contrasts the HP500 EFI but would it be too much? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

James,

Since your car is a customized prostreeter, why not paint them the same color as the body? If your car was still original and not so customized I'd say keep them black. I'm painting everything in the engine bay of mine the same color as the body. I think it looks a lot better IMHO.

One more vote for body color if the car is highly modified. If stock, then go with the correct semigloss black.

When I went to look at my 68 and the guy popped the hood and it was painted the body color, my original thoughts were "too much red". Once I got the car home and had a chance to analyze what I got... I like it alot this way. I think you will be pleased with the results and always get lots of comments pro when you take the car to your local cruize or car show... I know I do
