I am taking the accessories from my 305 (V belt) to put them on a 350 on the engine stand. I need a new waterpump for the 350, so I was looking at the 305 to make sure I matched.

Backwards from everything I read--I have a short water pump on the 305 (measured twice), but the AC is on the driver's side above the power steering & the alternator is on the passenger side. Ever seen this before? Has my Camaro been 'rigged'?

I'm not real sure what you are asking or what year Camaro you are talking about.

The ac compressor was on the passenger side with the alternator & power steering on the driver's side in 67 & 68. In 69 they moved the ac compressor over to the driver side, & put the alternator on the passenger side.

Here is a good shoot of a 69 ac on ebay:

It ma have been 'rigged' to work.
Yes, '69's are as you & 327 described, are configured this way, A/C comp on drvr side and alt on pass side.

If it worked on the 305, it should work on the 350. Did you misplace a water pump pulley spacer, maybe? Could be the 'rig' to work.
