I absolutely love the Bilsteins (HD's) up front but they were too quick for the rear. So I went with plain KYB gas shocks in the rear. I have this set up (w/ factory replacement springs) on two 69's and it's perfect for my taste. KYB's up front feel like worn out shocks compared to the Bistein's. I also use the next larger size 13/16" sway bar in front vs. the 11/16 stocker. The 1" was a bit much for my taste. Also, solid body mounts are a worthwhile investment to keep the car from 'swaying'.
Both cars corner great with very little body roll and ride is nice and smooth. Couldn't be happier.
After tightening up my car with poly bushings everywhere the KYB's were just to harsh for cruising. I swapped in a set of Monroes and now I am much happier. I have the KYB's with about 1200 miles on them if any is interested just PM me.
