The VSS is the same as the computer uses.I believe it is integrated into the speedo.It uses a LED shooting thru a spinning wheel on the back of the speedo.The system also uses a buffer,to change the pulses to either 4 pulse or 2 pulse.I believe the computer uses the 2 pulse and the cruise needs 4 pulse.Therefore,the need for the buffer.
