I need some info quickly. My x77 code z/28 has a 120mph speedo and a 7000rpm (5500rpm yellow line)tach. Are these correct? I have seen some literature saying yes they are, some others say no that I should have a 140mph speedo and 8000rpm (6000rpm yellow line) tach. What gives? Any info is greatly appreciated and thanks team camaro.

I may be wrong but I think all 69 Camaros came with 120 MPH speedometers.
If you have a January to October built Z it should have an 8 grand tac with a 5700 yellow line and a 6000 redline. Earlier Z's came with 7 grand tacs with the same yellow/redline starting points.

Speedo is fine. Tach is wrong.

The redline and high number can vary depending on the date of the build. Early ones are 6000x7000 mid to late production are 6000x8000 and very late are 6500x8000. I am guessing you need the 6000x8000.

The 140 speedo was part of the COPO 9737 "Yenko Sportscar Covnersion" It was not available on any other Camaro. Although never say never, as someone on the line may have screwed up and installed a 140 by mistake.
