Hello,

My speedometer cable is worn out and needs replcement. When I was asking my local speedshop/parts outlet they could not specify for Camaro '69. The only listing was for Chevy '69 and there it was five different cables, different lenghts.

So my question is how long is a Camaro cable? Manual trans.

Thanks

What transmission, which side of the trans does the cable attach to, and where does your cable go through the firewall - inboard of the wiper motor, or near the steering column? All of this matters.

I thought all '69 Camaros with manual transmisions where alike. Anyway it is a Z/28 with Muncie M20. So the cable comes out of the gearbox on the right side and it comes through by the steering column.

BTW According to Classic Industries catalog it should be 64 inches. I just found that out.

w/ Muncie 4 spd = 83"
w/ auto = 61"
w/ saginaw = 80"
