I have a 2000 3.8L. When the outside air temp is between 65 and 80ish, and when the car has been running at normal temp, it has been staling at idle speeds at stop light and stop signs. Also the past few days, it has had problems stating. It takes a 2 or 3 cranks to get it started. This is driving me and my wife nuts! HELP

I'm not an advocate of swapping parts to fix problems, but it sounds like your throttle position sensor could be wearing thin in spots. Get a digital ohm meter and connect it between the center pin on the TPS and one of the outer pins. Manually sweep the throttle by hand and watch for smooth changes in resistance. If you see any 'holes' where the resistance changes abruptly, replace the TPS. If that checks out, give the wiring harness and the connector pins a good looking over for signs of pinched wires or connector pins that are sprung open or have a file of oxidation on them.
