I changed my flywheel setup from a 153 tooth to a 168 tooth and now my starter, which has the bolt pattern for both, hits the header. My only fix is to cut a angle off the mount so that the mount can be moved outwards and the bolt holes line up. Is this a common problem with 168 tooth mounting?
I have a MSD starter and its a SB with Dynatech MuscleMAXX headers on my 1969 Camaro.

Not a problem with the starter nomally, just the fact you added headers to fit a smaller OE starter.
Once you get away from OE configuration, ie, headers common addition, and aftermarket starter, you are on your own.

I just got a Powermaster starter, it has a fully clockable mount, so you can rotate the starter mount 360 degrees to mount it at whatever angle you want, the mount itself is smaller also. Might look into one. Only hold up it is it REALLY wants a full 12v to start.
