Hi there,

I pulled out my 67 machine's non-tilt floor shift steering column intending to install a rebuilt tilt column.

In the photo below there was the adapter from column ribbon wires to the under dash semi-circled brown connector. Is this from a column shift column?

The tilt column has a matching semi-circled brown connector, but with different color wires. I'm guessing the tilt wiring will matching right up with the under dash semi-circled brown connector. Both have 8 wires with a blank 9th hole that matches up on both sides.

So, do I go ahead and just put it in there assuming the wiring will match up even though they are different colors?

The pix are below...the older appearing one is from the tilt column going in and the other is from under the dash.

Thanks,

Gordon
