Needing to relocate my water temp sensor for my guage and noticed a port on the drivers side head about a 1/4 way from the front, was wondering if that was an oil passage or cooling passage that could accommodate a temp sensor, 70 427/454 .
Really hate the way the sensor in the water neck looks.
Any suggestions.....

The port in the head will work fine. I think that is where the factory sensor was anyway.

That is where mine is located on the Gen-IV BB. You can also use a port on the front of the intake manifold if available.

Keep in mind the head temp will be about 10° higher than the thermostat housing.
