I was wondering what the heck the tic tic tic noise is when I am backing up. Sounds like its from drive shaft or ?? Any guesses out there?

Wow, could be a BUNCH of different things, are the U-joints tight? If so, I'd say probably in one of the drums, maybe some hardware that came loose and is rubbing, but only when rotating against the drum, not with. Is your car an auto or 4-spd? If it's a 4-spd, does it do it while backing up with the clutch in, out, or both?

We'll narrow it down...Mike

A dried out needle bearing in the U joint can do it.
You should be hearing it in a forward gear too.
The shaft will sometimes amplify the noise.

Try applying the brakes a bit to see if it changes.
