I have a 68 Camaro. Rally wheels are 15x7 4.25" backspacing. It was an all-drum car and I converted the front to disk using a kit from Matt's Classic Bowties. Nothing fancy, just the stock style ~$500 kit.

So the problem is with the disks in the front, it moved the wheels out a little bit and now the wheels are rubbing the fenders whenever I hit a bump or dip.

I was wondering if replacing the 40-year-old springs would help, maybe they are too soft?

I was considering getting some Foose Legends, and I have seen many guys here use these wheels with front disks without any rubbing, but looking at the numbers for the widths and backspacing, it looks like I would still have rubbing with these wheels. This is what makes me question the springs.

Sorry, this question has to do with the brakes and suspension as well as wheels and tires so I wasn't sure which forum to post in.

What width and height tires are you running ? I've got an OE drum car with Wilwoods on TT-D's in 15x7 with Hotchkiss springs and 225/60-15's. No rubs.
