Well I traded for stuff for stuff and got a rebuilt 850 DP Holley. So I am thinking of replacing my 750 Vac Advance with the DP that I thought was a 750 DP! The question I have is it too much for my 468 mild cam 9:1 with high rise manifold, headers, 4 speed 69 Camaro?

Only if you have too much fun. Can't imagine how that can happen.
Warning: The life expectancy of your cam and pistons might be significantly reduced. Not from malfunction but rather from your need for speed.

First off, you can never jet down a carb to a smaller size...
Jets control fuel ,the carb size is air flow... it can't be adjusted

Now as far as an 850 on a 468, it should be OK unless you are way under geared.
With a stick, you can keep the revs up. Going to full throttle at low rpm in high gear will likely be the only place you will notice the carb being too big.

If you follow Holley selector chart, it says to use an 850 with manual trans & decent gearing.
The vac secondary is more forgiving, but the DP may run better if you drive it correctly.
