I have a lifetime of homemade tools and modified wrenches, etc. I can’t even remember what some of it was for.

Small hammer is used to identify core damage or voids on composite panels. Gently tap the panel with the tap hammer and voids or core damage don't ring sharp noise, more of a dull thud. Mark the damage, rout the damage down to, but not through the lower skin. Recore, repair. Some just use a coin like a quarter, this works better IMO.

I got the chain breaker, the bore gauge, and the dial indicator attachments, and I think I see a brake spring tool. The wooden blocks look like something I used to do glue ups when I butcher wood 😜

Yes, chain breaker, dial indicator attachments and small hole gage.

Punch is not a brake tool. Wood blocks are not automotive or machinery related.

You got it.

How do you like those homemade cabinets in the background? I guess they are a tool.

Here is my pride and joy. This homemade tool box is over 65 years old. It was my grandfather's.

It has some homemade funnels. One is an old Falstaff beer can. The other is a Dinty More Beef Stew can and a Pearl Beer can welded together.

I use them all the time.

Oh, yeah. That’s super cool. Talk about a keepsake.

Nothing on the little punch or wood blocks yet, huh? Is the band stumped? Can’t be. These tools are not that uncommon.

Well I guess I’m not as well rounded.
The slot in the punch throws off. It’s not like my grommet set, too blunt to cut so I’m scratching my brain cell.
Im lost on the wooden blocks 🤷

Google “wood block line”. Bricklayers use them to establish a face line. My neighbor was a bricklayer and gave me these when we were repairing some damage brick on our old house. Quite handy.

Most automotive grease zerks are threaded. Older equipment and farm machinery used press in zerks. The two shown are actually old International Harvester tools. In mass production it is cheaper to drill and ream a hole than drill and tap. I don’t happen to have any press fit fittings but you get the idea.

Oh my gosh……I wish I knew how much sheathing and brick ties I put on for brick layer’s.
We agreed to put the ties on if they let us use their scaffolding. I guess I should have paid more attention.
I always threw the press in zeros away…but I never knew there was an actual tool, just assumed it was a machine, but now I know 👍🏼

I’m not sure bricklayers actually used these. I kind of wonder if they weren’t promotional items. A trinket to put a suppliers name on.

Back in the 80’s I did part time machine work figuring out how to do cut-a-way engines and other industrial displays for an exhibit company. We did all kinds of crazy stuff. Thats where I learned about press in zerks.

Masons actually use them….my uncle was a brick mason & I worked as a pre-teen thru high school helping him build houses in 70-80s. I was his “mud man” as he called me; job included erecting scaffold, keeping brick supplied on walk boards, preparing brickbats, & of course mixing hauling/lifting mortar up the scaffolding (aka “mud”). I was given a few of his tools when he passed a few years ago; I’ll post pics later to see if some of them look familiar.

Correct, Correct, & Correct….we used the 2nd tool to secure ties when re-stringing barbed wire cattle fencing. Good job!

I kinda cheated by not showing the front side of last tool….it’ll be clear when you study front side
