should there be a washer with the lug nut or does the lug tighten up on the aluminum it self?

summit sent me just plain chrome nuts, but the wheels look like I should have a washer that would fit into the opening around the lug hole?

I know the older style torque thrust use washers. The torque thrust II don't as they have the tapered seat lug nuts. Are yours taper seat, if not you should probably use washers.

My new Torque Thrust D's use a tapered seat lug nut (no washers) The old style use the long shank nuts with washers. Good Luck..mx

The newer style wheels use a conical seat lugnut, and the older ones use a different lugnut (with shoulder) and lugnut
