how do i get the transmission out of my 1994 z28 camaro? the clutch isnt normale in these cars , it pulls instead of pushes, so the fork is getting caught around the throwout bearing and we cant pull the tranny??any help would be great thanks
You have to pull the transmission out first by separating it from the bellhousing before the bellhousing can come off. The throw out bearing locks onto the clutch fork the t/o bearing is clipped to the clutch pressure plate. So once the transmission itself if off, you can unclip the clutch fork and then the bellhousing can be unbolted off the engine. Hope this helps you out.
