For what it's worth, I have the original chrome ball on my shifter. No heat issues. The buyer shouldn't have any complaints. 👍

Keith, you are probably correct. It would have to get pretty hot in the car for this ball to be so hot that you could not touch it. I guess I was just using it as an excuse to keep my white shifter ball. I think the buyer will like it.

Driving a convertible in 90+ deg summer heat, everything gets hot. I carry some beach towels to place over driver’s seat & steering wheel if I’m going to be parked long enough to heat things up. I’ll add a small towel for the shifter ball if necessary. I’ll try to remember this summer to post feedback.
