I have a 69 Camaro where the right turn signal wont work. I have the steering wheel off and am replacing the turn signal assembly. Is there a good way to fish the wiring plug down through the steering column or do I have to take apart the steering column? It looks like I might be able to fish but it is tight. Has anyone had to do this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

The easiest way that I have found is to completely remove the connector from the turn signal switch harness. Before you start, make a quick diagram of where each color wire goes, then use a small pick to release the barbs that hold the individual wires into the connector. You can tape all the loose wires into a bundle to aid in sliding them through the column sleeve. Once you've slid the harness down through the column, simply replace the connector. IMO this is a lot easier and less frustrating than disassembling the column!!
