My turn signals will self-cancel when turning one direction, but not the other. I've not taken the column apart yet to see why; broken cam or spring? Is it possible to not have the steering column shaft centered correctly even though the steering wheel is centered properly? Curious if anyone has encountered this problem and what caused it.

there is two little nubs on the backside of the cam one of them may be worn down
