I put everything new with coil overs. following the directions from QA1 it recommended I start with my springs 1/2" from the very bottom of the shock. I got the w heels on and after lowering the car down I can't get the floor jack out.
Basically I can feel that the jack is loose but the car is about 1/2" too low to remove it.

While it makes my car look cool as hell, I think I need to be a little higher.
I used DSE U&LCA with QA1. wondering how high everyone elses spring was from the bottom of the shock?

Going from memory here but I think mine are about 4 threads from the bottom. I actually would like to lower them a tad more.

you could put a couple of pieces of wood to set the wheels on to get the jack out from beneath the car, then roll it or drive it off the inch or so drop...
but if you have to jack it up again, keep the same wood pieces handy!

Thanks for the replies, since QA1 recommended this setting as a starting point I will get some ramps and get the jack out that way.
I still have to torque the bolts and the sway arm with the weight of the car on it's wheels so ramps will be good.
