I have had occasions of vapor lock after getting too hot sitting in traffic (I am sure I have more heat than before with the addition of a blower). Starts right up about 10 minutes later after it cools down. It happened about 3-4 times last yr. I was wondering if I would be better off going with an electric fuel pump or simply getting a new sending unit with a return line and run a return line?

Running a return line would be the key. Cooler fuel in the tank, so to speak, tailpipes do run next to the tank and the forward motion of the car will keep the tank at a higher ambient temp, but still, cooler fuel.
