Let me tell you all flat out the vendors are full of crap with their discount codes and have taken this hobby to the trash.. i called the several of the top vendors ranging from classic industries, to ricks/steves camaros to heart beat city and the biggest mark off leaches year one!!!!

I was looking for a deluxe steering wheel which is OER 9746436 sold by manufacture Dynocorn with my tax id account that i use for family support military business functions for my unit since we came home from iraq im told these in many cases sell at less than 80 bucks to these clowns per unit.

even with every promo code on this site you have to do the research many of these vendors dont even have the item in stock they drop ship from the manufacture. Case in point i found the same exact part number repo junk at restoration performance for 60 bucks less than ricks etc , i spoke to mgt and they all were quick to say we will price match but surely they wont honor any promo codes if they price match they give you a code based upon a huge mark up we are talking 3 times what they pay for.

http://www.restorationperformance.com beat out every listed vendor hands down and clearly tells you who the manufacture is etc.

what makes me mad here isnt the free marketing issue, its the direction the hobby has gone allowing vendors to act like they support us by putting out promo codes and mooching off our love for our car. its no more different than that idiot that wants to rob you blind for a piece of candy or a toy at six flags when they see your child playing with it knowing many have lost their homes in this country.

The vendors need to be held accountable and they are listed all over this site acting as if they support Team members, the hobby use to be fun and now it really isnt, all the vendors as i stated had attitudes about their promo codes, i spoke to management of several of them and they say that most of them do drop ship directly from the manufacture and maybe the other site buys in bulk but hey if i buy from them they will price match but they wont honor their promo codes at all...

mo i will decide to but from the more down to earth vendor and will always continue to do the research why should i price match and screw that vendor out of their sell for trying to do the right thing? When i asked Ricks camaro this question straight to management they insulted me and thus i told them i would post on this site.

Bottom line here is Team Camaro members need to do more than just have a trend for worthless promo codes we need to work together to get good quality parts and share among ourselves who is out to simply take food off your table, im not the subject matter expert but i have owned my camaros for most of my life !!!!

For now im pissed off at the vendors i say apply for a business licence so upo a letter of intent with a few pics of camaro parts , than get registered with the vedors using a tax id account number and phase out the 3rd party crooks and buy directly from Dynacorn ..

ok i had to get all that out

Re: Bull**** vendors and promo codes

Evan - How many of the sites supporting vendors offer discount codes? The ones that do don't offer them just to TC members they are general codes they pass around the internet. Why don't you post what you want in some of the vendor forums or PM the vendors and see if they can give you a Team Discount on what you are looking for.

As for having stuff in stock and ready to shop vs ordering and direct shipping to the customer you ought to be able to do the math on it. In order to have something in stock you have to buy and pay for it. In this day and time it's not feasable for some vendors, make that a lot of vendors to stock every item a customer could need or want. Think about it, could you pony up for every part needed to restore a car? So the choice is obvious, you trust the manufacture to have things in stock and thank them for direct shipping to your customer. You know it's hard enough for most to compete with Summit or Jegs volume buying and you want the vendor to charge you for shipping the part 2 times, once to his store and another time to you?

I hope your rant got the bug out of your bonnet, you posted a rather nasty post in a thread I was reading earlier and the guy didn't deserve your flames.

Re: Bull**** vendors and promo codes

Evan I'm happy I came across your post. Because of your link to Restoration Performance, I found and ordered fenders, trunk lid, grill, both spoilers, and hood and saved my self at least $200 over the best pricing + shipping then I had previously found. Their shipping charges are more then reasonable. Thanks.

"to post a picture of a corvette and try and talk those that love the hobby into getting out as though its all a big mistake, stabs me in the soul as i have busted my tail-pipes all my life for my camaros... he knew what he was posting and and his title says it all you must be able to deal with the extreme far anti tree hugger like myself where my fumes alone will ruin a neighbors flower garden.." i shall die and my camaros will still be in the family tere is no price tag on them.

My camaros arent my only car i have a lincoln towncar just so i can keep the hagerty insurance and show its the daily driver, but i love my camaros, i dont like corvettes at all so to say his camaro handled like crap and he put 50k into it well im sure mechanics and vendors have that money..

In regards to vendors and their promo codes why should they be listed here if they are only trying to intice CAMARO TEAM members into using them on marked up prices already? instead of help them keep food on their table?????Betcha some of that 50k went to these crook vendors.

Maybe im missing something here it does no good to list a promo code if the vendor is jacking up their prices than offering the promo code, case in point we just saved another camaro family member here 200.00 and he didnt need a promo code..thats what im getting at, we simply found a vendor that hasnt gone over board, let me take a picture of your SS stick it in a catalog act like i own a shop and care that drop ship it all lol,,, way to funny

I could care less where a vendor gets their parts from drop ship etc, i just dont need to be lied to and told their crap is better so they charge you 80 bucks more and give you a fathers day code to take a percentage off,

I am a team camaro member would be all in for having a trend that states who provides good customer service and prices this means more than any discount code, surely people have to make money but when you are price gouging and lying about how your product is superior over the nexts guys but all the vendors buy their parts from the same manufacture regardless of if its OER or dinacorn thats where greed sets in and it devours the hobby.

Not looking for a socialist solution here just looking for a rating system all we have thus far is hey i bought my part from this so-called vendor they saved me 20% im so happy on fathers day lol little do they know they droped shipped from the manufacture and you really have to do some searching to know in most cases practically all of them jack up 3-4 times even above the MSRP of the manufacture .

Well i used this inpartciular vendor as an example, they could jack their prices up as well and price guage the diffrence however i feel is that they sell for other makes/models as well and thus have logitical warehouse operations etc, doesnt mean they are the ebst at all, just for now they dont play the promo code game and they will price match and beat another vendors price.

For now they appear to be more resonable yes , but like with all vendors unless they are rated and understand that we camaro owners provide them buisness than we will surely suffer as the prices have gobe through the roof and OER is not OEM lets make that fact clear.. im glad my rant helped some1 but thats what we need here not B.S promo codes that really cost you and in many cases if something is wrong you are the villian and they want restocking fees etc lol.
