New member here from Washington state. Checking the site out to see who's building what and how many people are building serious street/strip cars. Here are a couple vids of some buddies badazz street cars... So far we have our twin turbo kits in Chevelle's which I find a little funny since we designed them for the Gen.1 Camaro.

My friend Marty let us use his '72 Chevelle as a test bed and this is the little video we made:

Welcome, good looking cars. Who's building them?
We do some racing on the other side of the state in pro street classes. Are you guys familiar with Horsepower connection? He's one of our fellow racers over here and a major turbo guy, he actually almost had us convinced to switch over from the "other side", big cubes and nitrous...
That '67 is wicked, but he needs to work on getting it down the track, that first number in his ET needs to be an 8... :thumbsup:

The '67 Chevelle in the picture was built by Marty Stromberger out of Stromberger Performance here in Spokane. The '67 on the video is one of our customer's down in New Mexico and he built the car himself.

I have heard about Horsepower Connection but I am not to familiar with them. We will have to make it over to your side of the state for a race next summer! What's your big cube nitrous car running for ET?

Yea, that car should run in the 8's once he gets things sorted out and his NHRA license... He still has some more safety equipment to purchase and he's taking this month off for hunting. So hopefully we will get some new ET's from him in October.

Brian Macy is the owner of Horsepower connection, he has a little 66 chevy II with a 400" turbo motor has gone 7.90 on drag radials. A couple years back he won the drag radial class at the street car supernationals in Vegas.
He's a good guy and really knows his hairdryers.
We have gone 7.38 @ 186 in the vette with little tune ups in two stages, about the same time we ran in the El Camino before that, but on kill with a 632 (the one that almost had the turbo).
The vette is still getting dialed in, last year we finished putting it together and ran it two or three times, then headed to Vegas in November to race in the SCSN, it qualified mid teens in the pack of I think 30 in Outlaw 10.5, at 2950# it went 7.48 at 184. It was so dialed back to get down the track it was not even funny.
It is not even near it's potential yet though and we have yet to do the motor any justice with an ET (it's a 707" with three kits on it), we have both been busy with work this year (sucks when work gets in the way of play...;) ) so we have had minimal trips out to dial it in, but it's getting there. It finally is starting to hook and recently it went a best of 1.06 in the 60', the 7.30-40 passes were in the mid 1. teens.
With a real tune up in the first two systems it should go 6's, with all three systems who knows, the faster you go the harder it is to pick up even a .1 .

Sorry it took me a little while to reply to this, just got the motor back from the machine shop and into the Chevelle.

Wow, those are some gorgeous cars and setups you guys are working with! I have heard of Brian Macy and unfortunately missed him running when he was over here. His car is absolutely gorgeous and very fast! Hopefully I can make it over to a couple of your guys races next year, looks like some serious cars! Good luck on getting your setup tuned up. :thumbsup:
