They seal the area between the end of the radiator support and the fender. They block air flow that would go around the end of the radiator support forcing more air through the radiator and A/C condenser.

Do they work, or are they needed, is a good question, but if you want your car to be original then you need them.

These are for a coupe, convertibles have different ones, with horizontal stiffeners (as oppossed to the "X" shaped ones on these, and they are curved to fit around the cocktail shakers.

Thanks Mark, then I already have those. But mine have electronics bolted to them, so didnt look the same. Appreciate it much.
