when i refurbished my 69 ss rs iwent with a one wire internal regulatored altenater. the wiring i was all new and made for such a conversion. now in front of me is a delco remy 8 pin 6 inch something that has numbers 090 (an arrow pointing left) d3 than 8m11 at bottom. it has two mounting holes in the sheet metal part the rest is plastic.
help!!!!

Are we talking about a CS-130 style alternator here? They have a modern style weatherpak plug on them with 6 pins or so. One pin is bigger than the rest. Check the techreference (series 1) I believe. There is a good article there that many of us have used in the past. The big red wire ties to the B+ lug on the back. Then, one of the other wires (brown maybe :confused: ) is fed from the instrument panel bulb. There are warnings about this light in the archives and the article. You can't tie the bulb light wire direct to B+.

thanks for help but i figured it out. it is a igntion switch that mounts to the steering column.
now to figure out if it is for the tilt wheel or standard wheel.
