I just bought a new fuel tank and sump to install in it for an electric fuel pump. I will be running a return line back to the tank and am wondering where to install it in the tank. I have the bulkhead connector and heard that I needed to have the return fuel hit the side of the tank to keep aireation down. So where should I mount it and where should I have the outlet be on the inside of the tank?

When I was using a stock tank (68), I drilled a whole in the sending unit and routed the return thru it.
If you are adding a sump, could it go thru the sump, then 90 degree it away from the pick up?

It cannot go to the other side of the pickup like you said that in itself would help aeriate the fuel. Like I had mentioned I know on a fuel cell it is a good idea for it to hit the side of the tank to keep aeriation down. I figured more people had run a fuel pump with a return line since there was thread after thread about running one
