my friend has a 92 camaro with a 3.4. his freeze plug went out so he went ahead and replaced the intake and valve cover gaskets while the car was down. now when he starts the car up it winds out. when he took the intake off he took it off as an assembly. need help bad.

I have seen several 3.4's with that problem and every one turned out to be leaking intake manifold gaskets. I would suggest that he take the intake back off and replace the gaskets, using GM gaskets and the factory torque specs and pattern. There is also a vacuum hose that runs under the manifold on some cars, it could be loose and causing a vacuum leak.
