Hi all i have a 79 camaro runs great but my wifes car not so good. Its a 89 buick century 3.3 when the car warms up dies out all the time wont stay running it has a code 22 Which is the TPS replace that no good same thing.Any ideas
have you checked actual voltage sweep on tps??backprope the sensor harness. also make sure the mass air flow meter is not the problem....it sometimes gets dirty ...and wont let ecm control airflow...the ecm may have a loose prom unit....or if you have an actual scanner that reads data..see if there is glitch in tps..
tps coolant sensor and intake temp sensor share same power circuit i believe...
ck the wiring schematic...trace out harness..
there is just too many possibilities...to give exact info sorry...
one last thought...simple as it sounds...remove battery cables and clean the connections and bolts thoroughly retighten and see if anything changes....resistance to the ecm thru power supply will cause all kids of weird issues..
