I've got a rs w/a carbed sm block,I want to neaten up the mtr compartment, (unusedwire harnesses all over the place) Would it be ok to use solid copper wire instead of reg. stranded?(solid is a little easyer)& no computer on board...
I wouldn't do that. Solid wire is fine for a building or house that doesn't move. Stranded wire has flexibility which is needed for automotive applications. Your connections may break apart in time. GM doesn't even recommend soldering connections any longer with the exception of OEM terminals when your building a new connector end. The preferred method is using heat sealed wire connectors for wiring repairs.
