Well it IS a vac leak
Holleys can havea little sideways movent with any issues, but id sloppy fix or replace
Fixing is a bitch of a job , unless you REALY know what you are doing and have the RIGHT tools
Slop (on all carbs unlees they are from 1950s lol) is caused by return springs too heavy.
No.. if it is not excessive, it can be adjusted with the secondary butterflys closing up.
Setting of the sec butterflys is covered in many older threads....
Excessive wear can result in popping thru the exhuast when lifting off the throttle, and difficulty getting the idle speed screw and the mixture screws set within factory specs...
which comes back to correct sec butterfly adjustment.
