Welcome to Team Camaro!

One of the great things here is the amount of info available for the searching. The search engine here won't recognize "SS" (gives an error of too short or too common), but if you use "exhaust plate", you'll get some thread that give all the clues for a 69 SS car (dual fuel lines, the exhaust plate on the driver side frame rail, etc.).

kamaro, update your profile so we have a first name at least ok? Welcome to the site. We refer alot in here to www.camaros.org as the ultimate first generation source of 'accurate' information. You can read about the codes there. x11 is only a style trim indicator. It does NOT mean SS or RS or Z or 6 or 8 or anything else.
It is possible to have an x11 SS but just the x11 alone is no guarantee, without dealer invoice or POP card etc.
