Does any one know how to remove the z bar on my 68 camaro. Iam in the processof swapping my eng. and replacing the clutch. Do I just remove the nut on the out side of the center rod.

Do you have to remove the nut or is it slotted on the top and pull up? Once you remove the clip on the clutch rod.

It's slotted on the top.
You don't have to remove the nut when your Z bar is slotted. Just loosen it enough to allow you to pull the Z bar up once the rest of the attached hardware is removed.

It's a bitch to loosen the nut, unless you have every tool known to man. A extra long 9/16 wrench should do it.

You know this concerns me. Removing a Z-bar and swapping an engine are very different. Not meaning to be condescending but are you up to it? If not ask the questions now. Pulling the engine and trans together?
