My 67 SS orignially came with the Z23 interior package. Right now there is no headliner and the rest of the interior is dismantled. Are the chrome inner roof rail moldings all I need to hold the headliner in place above the window? Or do I need to buy the plastic moldings THEN put the chrome moldings over it? Please let me know because I don't want to go out and spend $50 on parts I don't need. Thank you for any help.

The edges of the headliner are initially held with contact cement/weatherstrip adhesive, the pinch welt and or chrome trim keep it from coming loose and cover the edges. After the glue sets, installing the pinch welt helps pull and tighten the headliner. The side chrome replaces the pinch welt. I had never thought about it until you ask so I had to go and look at both of my 67 coupes, one has chrome and the other has pinch welt.
