What size width diffrential would you need if you put zr-1 rims on a 1967 camaro I figure the backspacing is 7.3 inches per wheel times two which is 14.6 inches minus 72 inches which is the width of 57.4 inches for the diffrential does this sound correct? Any input appreciated I want to run 315x35x17 and 275x35x17 rims on my 67 camaro. I am using 17x9.5 and 17x11 rims. I also wanted to let everyone know about gmpartsdirect.com this is your source for cost. Zr-1 rims for 287.76

007, The width of the diff. is not the issue. A 315 tire is about 12.6" wide. An 11" rim with 5.2" of backspacing will put the inside edge of your tire .5" from the frame. You would need wheel adapters (7.3"-5.2"=2.1" thick to mount your wheels. (or a diff. 2.1"x2=4.2" longer than stock?) this setup will place your outside sidewall 13.1" from the frame. I don't think you have this much room, that is the tire is going to hit the fender. I would start by measuring the distance from the fenderlip to the frame and work the calculation backwards. There are alot of other discussions on this subject that you can run a search for.

To fit those wheels in back you will have to mini tub the wheelwells move the springs inboard either with offset shackles or offset shakle hangers summit or jegs has them the hangers. You will also need to narrow the gas tank or buy a fuel cell. It can be done though alot of work. I found these prices on the wheels

Silver Polished
17" X 9.5" $187.25 $199.75
17" X 11" $267.25 $279.75 www.performancewheeloutlet.com
