Hello, I asked my dad about this because he retired from the nor plant and god bless his comentment to building such great cars. Anyways he said the specail paint cars did not have a paint code and some had the dashes and some didnt , gm built the special paint cars and then set them aside untill the end of the year so gm didnt have to keep switching out the paint and reseting the robots and computers (makes since being they only painted a couple of each color ordered) not enough for production. he also said you could order a special paint with the d80 option . he has a 1969 x77 that has only 12000 miles he bought from gm when he worked there. It will be mine one day LOL. if you guys have anymore questions please ask and I will ask him , after 25 years service im sure he knows what he is talking about.

-- PNT code isn't common, but I wouldn't necessarily call it "rare". Many were stripe delete cars rather than a "special" color.
Just the data on the tag (w/o seeing a pic of it), would make it very rare if it was legit

does your dad have any pictures of the camaros coming down the line when he was working there ?? If he does .. scan them and post them up. I love looking at stuff like that.
