Hello all,
I am currently talking to a guy about a 1969 RS/SS Camaro he has for sale. The car has been local for many years that I can recall.
My question is, what are some things to look for to help determine the value of this car.
1969 Camaro: 124379L501619
098 = Built the second week of September
69-12437 = coupe
LOS = built in Van Nuys Calibornia
711 = Standard Black Bucket Seats
76-B = Lower Color is Daytona Yellow and the Vinyl Top Color is Black
U289 = internal plant scheduling code
Car is currently white with cherry stripes
Hideaway headlights still show the original yellow paint, has the vacuum canister in the fenders and the grommet on the firewall, headlight swich has the 2 barbed hose leads. Didn't look for solenoid on wiper motor but going back today to look. Has the backup lights in the tailpan
Has original 12 bolt he says with 5 leaf springs. 3.08 gear maybe?
Original SS hood with traces of daytona yellow paint on the underside.
original four speed car but currently has a TH400 in it. still have to push the clutch pedal in to crank the car. Has original 4 speed console that comes with the car and original console gauges. Factory console wiring harness is still in place. Has a 5K redline tach in the car that is original to the car.
looks to have the original standard black interior in the car. woodgrain accents, SS emblem on the steering wheel is very old to the car.
Has disk brakes that came on the car.
Non-AC car.
tailpan is blacked out.
original body panels and paint is a 10 footer, and a few issues in the trunk weatherstrip area.
currently has a 350 stock crate motor that runs good.
someone started turning the car into a drag car or something . Has bolt in subframe connectors, traction bars, solid motor mounts, reverse valve body transmission, solid motor mounts, manual steering, etc..
original floor pans, trunk pan, quarters, roof, etc..
He has the original 14x7 wheels that come with the car also. Currently has corvette rallies on it with new tires..
I have one picture..
Any ideas on this car?
Thanks..
