i'd make sure it at least has the original trans and rear, the photo of the rear looks like some welding might have been done on the tubes...40g for a body is way to high if the trans and rear are replacements like the engine.

Wow that car is a twin to my X77 that came out of DFW originally (well a twin when mine was all together pre-thievery :D). $40k? Give me a couple minutes and I can post my TT, I'll have to go out to my shop and take a pic...... okay here is my tag:

Pretty sure that this is the original tag. I know the owner history on mine back to new. How unique to see a close twin (in original form) of 2 69 Camaros built the same week and from close to the same region of the country.

Obviously mine is the rougher version as of this moment :D :

If you could can you post (or PM me) the VIN? I'd like to see how close they were coming down the assembly line.

PS. I'm not saying that plate is bad, I have no idea. But the body number is tremendously out of sequence with cars I know.... and I'm just looking for someone who can explain Chevrolet's pattern here...

Thanks for all the input. I'll be seeing the car at the end of the week.
Just learned of another 69 Z28 not to far from this one.
I'm told it has the original drivetrain in it. I'll grab pics of that one as well.

No. In 69, the body # is assigned when the order is accepted into the system. It just means the car was built soon after the order was accepted.
Thanks Kurt.... so what kinds of things caused delays in the builds? I have an 09C car with a significantly lower body number.....
