I was talking to Dreamweaver today and we thought it was about time to plan another Team Camaro Dinner sometime in Jan/Feb 09. I was thinking of somewhere in the Livermore area so that the central Cal guys don't have to travel too far...How about the 24th of January? Kalif and I will be looking into places that can; handle a crowd, (we had 17 last time), has good, well-lit parking, decent food, and a bar... This would include the wives of course, (we need designated drivers don't we? ;) ). What do you guys think? Any suggestions on places to eat in Livermore? Not too fancy, and where we can make a little noise, without bothering anyone too much... OK, who's game? :)
Here is the thread from the last dinner:

oooooooooooooo......................wineries: That's a good idea! I'll bet that if we can get enough people we could get a winery to put us in a special room (maybe a rubber room for me :D ) with a nice meal, etc.... Who's got the connection?

Excellent idea!

I will likely be at http://www.cavallino.com that Friday... So not the best date for me...(whatever that means) :).

However, may I suggest some red wine, pale ales, laughter and some Bocce ball?

Parking may be a bit crowded in the lot, but there is street parking along Vineyard..or you can park Camaros at my house and take a few daily drivers over. It's about 1/2 mile from here..good food, drinks and atmosphere.

All we need is a connection with your wallet . The rubber room aint cheap, but the smoked porkchop is mighty tasty!

Agreed... the Chop is da bomb! But the place is pretty pricy and when I talked to Mike earlier today we were talking about keeping it a little more on the "affordable" side. We would have a hard time getting out of there for less than $100 a head with a couple of drinks, wine, etc. That might preclude some from making the dinner and we want as many as can to come to the dinner. Plus it's kind of "stuffy" and we might be forced to keep our alter ego's in check :D.......... which means I would have to be on good behavior.......... which would be less fun :p

Not that I count much, but earlier or later for me. I will be gone the 24-28th. Would like to make it.

Gary, the date is not etched in stone, we can make it after you get back...how about the 2nd of Feb?...I just need place not too pricey and they serve Tequila...:D

Count me in and the date doesn't matter much to me I will take the day/night off if needed. I agree with keeping it low key/low to mid priced so, everyone can afford to come hang out. Don't overlook the Dublin/Pleasanton area there are a lot of places to choose from. I can't remember the name of the Mexican rest. right near the Fairgrounds? I haven't been there in years but, it would be a good fit as far as space, price, parking, drinks.

There is also that whole newish shopping center near Mimi's (in Dublin) there are a few places to eat there as well.

I am actually a member of a few of the Livermore Valley Wineries......The only one that could do a dinner is Wente Vineyards. Not my favorite Winery in the valley.

I do have an Incredible in at Murrieta's well...

we can perhaps do the well and dinner in downtown livermore.

As a matter of fact. i know someone who has a 31 passenger bus we can hire!!! I may drive or we can hire him to drive.....

Cattlemans is good!!!! can probably get a room there to ourselves......

Strizzis is also good.....would we be able to get a room?

i can/may get that bus!!!!

come up with a date! i will see how much for the bus.....

Count me in. Just tell me where and when. :beers:

I'd like to come with my wife. (she supports all my motorsports activities. Isn't that awesome!) depends on the date. I'm in the city of SF. Did you guys come here last time? I just got my camaro less than a year ago. Can't help on input with places to eat out there. I can only help in ther sonoma valley area. I know that area pretty well. Plus SF, but as you know parking/ security are tougher here..look forward to making new car friends....

Cattleman's sounds like a decent place....I even think they have a bar... Last time I was there the food was OK as well...I'll give them a call to see how they're set up is for a banquet... OK, Here is the poop; $200 to secure the room, you can order off of the menu, full bar service and and added 18% gratuity to the bill... The only drawback is that you cannot see the cars in the lot from the room...I figure we will be checking out the cars throughout the evening anyway, and I hear there is normally several cops hangin out in the parking lot in the evenings.... Here is the link to the place; http://www.beststeakinthewest.com/liv.htm 40 to 50 people is no problem...they have room for many more... What do you guys think?
