lmao @ Matt!!!

Is this your first trip through Jim's live garage cam?
I've been doing this for a year. It's kinda fun.

Pass side front corner left to clean up, also need to put the oil plug back in, and change the filter. I'll need to move the stands a bit to get those big honking QA1's in there.

Jim You'll have to drop the front springs to put those front ones in. They are too big to push up from the bottom.

I just put my brand new Koni's in today. I was debating between QA1's and Koni's for a long time. My car is on stands just like yours. Just rebuild the entire front end and getting ready to slap some Wilwood discs on there instead of the drums. After that I am moving down to the rear end... I see you got a nice brake setup in the front. What is it?

Matt he's got the same Wilwood 7675 kit up front that I have.

12.19" rotors He's also running Wilwoods 7/8" MC and 10" rear kit.:D (although I don't know which part # sorry:eek:)
No I'm not a stalker.:noway:
I just let him be my brake kit guinea pig before I laid down the money.:yes:

I'm running 17x7's I don't recall the BS off hand.Jim was running 16's before he swapped but I don't know if he's still running them. I've heard some guys getting away with 15's in some cases.

Yes, I got the 7/8 Wilwood MC as well...having said that, I got another thread I posted tonight regarding the MC. Are you guys running the polished M/C? If so did yours come less polished on the front/back than the sides? Nice polish on the sides, crappy job on the front/back. For pics see post below.

Well I guess it's time for me to head back out to the garage myself and clean some stuff up before I pull the engine tomorrow.:beers:
Although I don't have a cool garage-cam like you Jim so don't worry you viewer base will remain intact.;)

Actually the rears are 12.2" also.
I run 16's in front, 17's in back.
15" rims will NOT fit on these brakes, period.
And yes, Harley is a stalker. But his car is quicker than mine.

Matt, as you see, the cam is a dlink 5300G.
It's wireless, but does need ac power. Webserver is built in, everything you guys see is part of the camera's software. The remote pan tilt zoom is kinda fun. They are like $350 bucks. Actually made to be security cameras. There are lots (much) cheaper, but most of those are USB webcams.
To use it, I just punch a hole thru my router, directed at the cam's internal ip. I used 12000 only because I'm running a webserver so 80 is taken.

Hotchkis front springs dropped me 1 1/2" from stock and I'll be putting my new Hotchkis rears in soon.:thumbsup:

Thats why I went 16-17 Matt. front tires are 23 1/2, rears are 26"
I used hotchkiss lowering springs in front, and a 1" block in the back.

The 7/8" master works great with a manual setup.
Power should (usually) be 1 1/8" or so, always do the math.

And I bought my master unpolished, and polished it myself, on all 4 sides.

Sorry for the miss information on your rears. I didn't remember them being that big.l:) And I keep telling you Jim.:secret: I have to live vicariously through your life at times.:popcorn:

ok, clean. still to do underneath: oil filter. front shocks. exhaust system install. e brake cable.

There are a bunch of threads on polishing, good topic to search.
Basically, the process involves using a series of progressively finer abrasives. How coarse you start depends on what you're dealing with. I polished my original alternator, started with small stones on a dremel, then many hours with 220 wet, then 400 600 1200 1500 and 2000 wet sanding. By the time I put the wheel on, it was all ready like glass, and buffed up in seconds.

The wilwood master was pretty smooth, think I started with 400 grit.
