Here's a car I stumbled upon by accident...the link I clicked on was for a different car entirely.
What I know is that the floor pans and trunk pan have been replaced prior to the current owner getting the car. There was surface rust on the hood and fender and the current owner replaced both. Radio is the only thing not working in the car. The steering wheel is repo. No rust that the guy can find; shock mounts fine; no rust under the dash (he knows from crawling up under to try and figure out why the radio was not working). No paperwork, but owner's manual in the glove box. No ps or pb, 10-bolt open rear with single leafs, and a MC1 3-speed tranny. Car is said to have 37k original miles.
I'd want to upgrade to power brakes and power steering, at least a 8.5 posi rear with multi-leafs, a 4 or more likely 5 speed trans, and do a little work to the engine to bring the hp up a bit (or just pull the original and put in a small block). I figure this will cost somewhere in the $8k range??? The work would be done little-by-little as winter projects when I am between semesters...about 3.5 weeks off.
So, what say ye?
