I'm thinking of changing the paint scheme this April on my 68 by adding the black like in the Dale Earnhadrt jr. concept Camaro. I already have the Vanilla white part.
What do you guys think . . . .

. . . . well I hope I don't get shunned but I think I'm gonna do this in fact we will start monday wet sanding the hood and roof. Maybe I will post some progress pics.
Let the flaming begin.

It's your car........do what you want

Even if it will be butt ugly......l:)

Just kidding.......it might look cool... My 67 got waylaid when I brought the steaming pile of GTO crap home. I still don't know why I brought it back or why I keep working on it. Here's the link to pics....don't laugh too hard.

Mitch, I know your wife is a very patient woman ( more like a saint ) but what does she think of your GTO ?
Her opinions don't vary with their condition. Until they look like new, they are all just piles of junk. She hasn't been out to the shop much since I brought it home and hasn't looked at it. Her total disinterest is probably an advantage and they don't become a source of nagging (since with sainthood she doesn't do much of anyway:noway:) and I am free to putter along out there alone.

Jerry this would look interesting...I like your paint job a lot as-is, but it's kind of like a blank slate, after a while I'd also get the itch to paint a two-tone, or stripes, or even a red flame job on the hood! (sorry my '70s roots are showing again).

Have you tried photoshopping this paint scheme on a photo of your car before doing the real thing??

reseal my leaky kick panels
Have fun with that, especially the left side and have LOTS of dum-dum putty ready.

I will be getting a good engine in a couple weeks and hopefully installing that soon. I have headers for it too but that would then require new exhaust. I'll have to see if I can swing all that.

Waiting to get approved on my loan to finish the body work and motor.
